Today is the second day in a row I won’t be able to see Makoa. While I’m feeling better than yesterday, I’m still a little under-the-weather, so it’s better not to chance it. While I miss the little guy, I’m comforted in knowing that he’s been doing really well. He took all of his feedings today which is fantastic. I think we’re getting very close to bringing him home which gets us excited just thinking about it.
Tiffany was able to talk with one of the premier PWS pediatricians regarding Makoa today. She is located in Gainsville Florida and invited us to come pay her a visit as soon as Makoa is ready. She also is in communication with a doctor out here in Santa Monica who is very familiar with PWS. It is the same doctor that was recommended to us by a friend of a friend that has a child with PWS. We have an appointment scheduled for February 15th, we want to get started as quickly as possible.
Tiffany has been extremely pro-active with seeking out and finding the top people and speaking with them. If there is on thing Tiffany is great at, it would be following-through on things and “getting it done” as we say. We’ve been very fortunate to have so many people reaching out to us and providing us with a great deal of information. It can sometimes be overwhelming sorting through all of it, but we have found nothing beats and old-fashioned phone call with people who are familiar with the syndrome.
We continue to pray everyday for healing and health for Makoa. As always, we are grateful and humbled by all of your love and support and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Posted at 21:45h, 03 FebruaryLinds & Tiff,
It’s wonderful to see that you are so devoted to your little man and already booking specialists. He is a lucky little dude to be surrounded by amazing family. The fact that you two are facing PWS headon is commendable. It will pay divdends to get started on his treatments. We are so excited for you to bring him home!
